Can I find a job, invoice, call, or completed form without already knowing its record number?

Find customer and work records from the details you remember

Use Search to choose a record category and narrow the returned records by the details you know. Categories include customers, locations, jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, calls, messages, and completed forms. Customer names, addresses, dates, technician, template, and phone filters are available where relevant.

Find customer and work records from the details you remember

  1. Choose what you are trying to find

Select Calls, Customers, Estimates, Forms, Invoices, Jobs, Locations, Messages, or Payments. The chosen category determines which filters appear.

  2. Enter the details you remember

Use the text query and customer name. Add address fields for location-related records or dates to narrow the period. For supported categories, choose a technician; for completed forms, choose the form template.

  3. Narrow a call search by phone context

When searching calls, use the business number or caller and recipient filters. This helps distinguish an inquiry made to a campaign number from another conversation with the same customer.

  4. Run the search and review the results

Apply the search to load that category’s results. The page shows how many matching records were returned, their available context, and any loading error. Apply changed filters again to update the result.

  5. Open the linked work

Follow links from customer, location, estimate, job, and invoice results. A payment can link to its invoice when one is associated. Check the record itself before changing a schedule or discussing a balance.

Questions about this workflow

Can I find completed forms by technician or template?

Yes. The Forms category provides the available technician and custom/PDF template filters, alongside customer, date, and address context.

Can I search every record type at once?

The Search workspace operates on one selected category at a time. Choose the category that fits the record you need.

Does this search guarantee every historical record is included?

The current workspace filters the records returned for its chosen category, which has a loading limit. Use the relevant workspace or a scoped report when you need a complete historical review.
