CSV import is the intake workflow
Import bank transactions from CSV. Linking a payout account does not enable a continuous bank transaction feed.
Can I match imported bank transactions to invoices and payments without losing the reconciliation history?
Nexus Banking imports bank or card transactions from CSV, lets staff match or categorize them, and reconciles selected cleared items to a statement balance. Saved statements retain their dates and cleared transactions; the latest statement can be reopened with a reason when a correction is needed.
Create the account and link it to the appropriate general-ledger account. Enter the opening information needed by your accounting process and enable advanced accounting for Banking.
Select the account and import a CSV containing the supported date, amount, description, and reference fields. Nexus checks imported transaction fingerprints to avoid adding the same existing rows again.
Match an incoming receipt to the appropriate invoice or an existing recorded payment where available. For other transactions, choose the general-ledger account that explains the movement. Review the source and amount before confirming.
Split a receipt across selected invoice application amounts when one bank transaction covers several invoices. Save matching rules for repeated descriptions or amounts, then apply active rules to unmatched transactions.
Enter the statement dates and opening and ending balances. Select the matched transactions that actually cleared. Finish reconciliation when the selected movement produces a zero difference; unselected transactions remain outstanding.
Review saved statements and their cleared items. If the latest statement needs correction, enter the reason and reopen it before changing its reconciliation.

When a payment is already recorded, use the existing-payment match workflow to connect bank activity without treating it as another customer payment.
Select the destination bank account when recording a transfer. This keeps the movement between accounts identifiable instead of treating every withdrawal as an operating expense.
