A working pattern can cover several staff
The creation flow applies the chosen weekday and date pattern to each selected staff member. Staff do not need identical schedules: create a separate set of entries for a different pattern.
Can I plan who is working before assigning customer appointments?
Use Shifts to create working hours for technicians or office staff across a date range and selected weekdays. Include on-call coverage, overnight shifts, or scheduled time off. Review the staff calendar and edit an individual shift when coverage changes.
Open Shifts and create a schedule for technicians or office staff. Select the people who share the same working pattern, using business-unit filters when helpful.
Choose the start and end dates, then select the weekdays to include. Enter the start and end times once for the selected staff and dates.
Create a normal scheduled shift or mark on-call coverage. For a shift that crosses midnight, use the overnight option. Use the time-off option with its absence type and notes when the person should be unavailable.
Save the schedule to create the entries across the selected people and dates. Review them on the calendar, filtering by staff type, business unit, or shift type to inspect the coverage you need.
Open a calendar entry to edit its times or shift type, or remove it when appropriate. Review the resulting calendar before planning customer appointments around the team’s coverage.
