Can technicians document the work with photos and videos, mark up an image, and share the files?

Capture job photos, videos, and documents that the office can use

Yes. Use the mobile job Attachments area to take photos or videos, choose existing media, or upload documents. Open a saved photo to mark up the detail you want to explain and save it back to the job. Office staff can review job attachments and email selected files to the customer.

Capture job photos, videos, and documents that the office can use

  1. Open the correct job before capturing the work

Start in the job Attachments area so the files stay connected to the visit. Choose the camera to capture new media, the photo library for existing photos and videos, or the file picker for documents.

  2. Capture the condition or result

Take the photos or video needed to explain the work. The in-app camera supports photo and video modes; video capture has a five-minute limit. Review the media before uploading it to the job.

  3. Wait for the upload to finish

The mobile upload flow shows file and aggregate progress and adds successfully uploaded media to the job attachments. A saved job attachment gives the office a shared record to open, instead of relying on a file remaining on the technician’s device.

  4. Mark the detail on a photo

Open a saved job photo in the markup editor. Use the available drawing, shape, arrow, or text tools to call attention to a component or condition. Save the annotated image back to the job photo, then reopen it to review the result.

  5. Review the record in the office

Open the job’s attachments to inspect photos, videos, and documents alongside the scheduling and billing context. Use clear images and supporting notes so another staff member can understand what was found or completed.

  6. Send the relevant files to the customer

From the web job, choose the attachments to email, select customer or location contacts, and write the message. Mobile document actions also support viewing, emailing, and sharing a saved document. Review the selected files and recipients before sending.

Annotations explain what the customer should notice

A marked-up photo can identify a damaged part or the portion of the installation being discussed. Saving markup updates the job photo; keep a separate copy first if your process requires an untouched original.

Media and completed forms serve different purposes

Use photos, videos, and documents for supporting evidence. Use a custom or PDF form when staff should answer defined questions, capture measurements, or complete a signature field.

Choose which attachments leave the job

The web email action lets staff select files and recipients and add a message. An uploaded attachment is not automatically sent to the customer.
